Festival season is officially upon us. With so many events coming up in Ireland this summer,

here at YM we’ve put together a guide of the 5 top festivals for you to get the most

Forbidden Fruit

Dublin’s unique city centre festival that combines music, arts, fashion, food and good vibes is

back for its sixth instalment this June Bank Holiday weekend. Set across four stages and

including acts such as Dizzee Rascal, Skepta, Bodhi and Maya Jane Coles, the festival is a firm fixture in everyone’s calendar. Held in the beautiful grounds at Kilmainham there’s loads of instaworthy opportunities for you to tag in @forbiddenfruitfestival and #forbiddenfruit. We can’t wait.


Dublin LGBT Pride

June is international LGBT Pride month and Dublin is delighted to host their annual Pride

Festival taking place over five days from the 22nd of June. The annual highlight is no doubt the Pride Parade on June 25th with the unmissable post-celebrations taking place in Merrion

Square. Don’t miss out on the chance to celebrate the diversity, uniqueness and achievements of this festival and its attendees. A selfie under the giant rainbow flag is a must, don’t forget to tag in @dublinpride and #dublinpride.


Castlepalooza

Castlepalooza is continuing to pull out all the stops in its eleventh year of the music and arts festival. During the first weekend of July, fans can take in the sounds of Sea Pinks, Paddy Hanna, Cat Power, Preoccupations and many other renowned acts. Taking place in the wonderland that is Charleville Castle, Tullamore, the festival promises great music, merriment, madness and memories. Taste of Dublin

Taste of Dublin runs over four days from the 16th to the 19th of June in the stunning Iveagh

Gardens. The festival is in its 11th year celebrating Dublin’s unique and progressive dining

scene. Sample signature dishes from award-winning chefs, take part in interactive foodie

Longitude

Music fans were delighted with the return of Longitude to its home in Marlay Park from July 15th to 17th. In three short years, Longitude has established itself as one of the premier events of the summer. There are more than 45 acts performing at the festival including home-grown and international talent. The Lumineers, The Coronas, Chvrches, Diplo and Pleasure Beach are just a few that will be hitting up the main stage. Snap your fave acts and tag @longitudefest and #longitude.
